Swiss Chard Barese

£3.25

An unusual heirloom chard, with a very different texture. Its leaves are fleshier and stems are more crisp and tender than other varieties, meaning it’s more like a cross between chard and pak choi. This chard has a delicious flavour and can be enjoyed sauteed or gently steamed to retain all of its goodness. Alternatively, it’s a great ingredient for Asian cookery.
