Growing Information

Sowing info

Sow indoors from January or directly outside from April. Soak seeds overnight then sow 2–3cm deep into moist compost. Ideal temperature 15–20°C. Germination takes 7–14 days. Pinch out tips at 15cm high to encourage bushy growth. Grow on in cool, bright conditions before planting out once frosts have passed. Can also be sown in autumn for overwintering.

Growing info

Space 20–30cm apart providing strong support such as canes or netting. Water regularly and feed with a high potash fertiliser once flowering starts. Harvest regularly to encourage more flowers. Final height 180-240cm.
