Yes, the She Grows Veg app is completely free to download on the App Store and Google Play Store because good growing guidance should be available to everyone. As there are costs associated with running the app, there is a monthly usage limit on free accounts, but for most growers it’s more than enough to keep things growing in the right direction.

I’ve forgotten my app password, what should I do?

It happens to the best of us. Simply tap the forgotten password link on the login screen and follow the steps to reset it. Your new password will work across both your She Grows Veg website and app accounts, so everything stays nicely in sync.

How can I add seeds into my digital patch?

Good news! The app works with all your seeds, not just ours. Head to the ‘Plan Your Patch’ section to search and add any variety to your digital patch, wherever you bought it. If you have a She Grows Veg account, anything you’ve ordered from us should already be waiting for you when you log in. And if anything’s missing, a quick search and manual add will have it in your patch in seconds.

Is the app suitable for complete beginners, or is it aimed at more experienced growers?

Whether you’re staring at your very first seed packet or you’ve been growing for years, the app meets you exactly where you are. It’s designed to take the overwhelm out of growing for beginners, while still offering plenty of depth and inspiration for more experienced gardeners. Everyone is welcome here.

I can’t find a specific seed variety in the patch planner. What should I do?

We’re sorry you can’t find what you’re looking for! Our seed library is always growing, but if something’s missing, you can drop us a message at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to add it to the list; as long as it’s a variety that can be legally grown in the UK.

How does the plant ID tool work?

The She Grows Veg plant ID tool does the hard work for you. Simply choose whether you want to identify a plant or diagnose a problem, snap a photo or upload one from your gallery, and let the app work its magic. Within seconds you’ll have a clear answer and, if something’s wrong, practical advice on how to fix it.

What should I do if the app incorrectly identifies or diagnoses my plant?

We’re sorry it didn’t get it right this time! The app learns and improves the more our community uses it, so your experience genuinely helps make it better for every grower who comes after you. If the identification or diagnosis doesn’t look right, just tap the thumbs down to let us know; it’s a small action that makes a big difference.
