Included in this bundle:

  • Dwarf Sunflower Sunspot

Small but perfectly formed, this dwarf heirloom sunflower reaches a height of around 60cm tall and has long-lasting, large flowers, 25cm across. It grows in a really robust way and so doesn’t need any staking. Harvest the seed to grow as microgreens or use as a stout cut flower.

  • Sunflower Floristan

An unusual bi-colour modern heirloom, its dark wine-red and yellow appearance stands out in the veg patch or garden. It will produce multiple heads on each stem and is commonly grown as a cut flower. We love this as an edible though with seed used for winter microgreens or roasted and sprinkled on salad.

  • Sunflower Mongolian Giant

True to its name, this heirloom sunflower is a whopper! It can grow up to 4 metres tall and the flower head can grow to 45cm, making it the largest sunflower around. Try eating the unopened flower buds like globe artichoke, roast the heads like corn on the cob or make the most of the huge harvest of very large seeds.

  • Sunflower Titan

A She Grows Veg favourite, this heirloom giant reliably grows to a startling size. Heads easily reach 45cm across. Harvest the single flower head for the copious amounts of seed to grow microgreens.

  • Sunflower Velvet Queen

The darkest of the heirloom sunflowers, this variety’s deep claret colour makes it appear like velvet. Growing to a height of around 1.7m, it will produce multiple branches. A great cut flower, we prefer to harvest it for seed to grow microgreens or alternatively harvest the odd closed flower bud and eat it like a globe artichoke.
