An ancient Italian heirloom from Padua, grown there since the 14th century. Its memorable name reflects its origins, an old cross between broccoli and savoy cabbage, and unusually, it’s cultivated for its leaves. Enjoy it steamed and drizzled in good olive oil.

Sowing info

Sow seed at a depth of 1cm, does not need extra heat to germinate. Plants can be transplanted to their final positions approximately 5 weeks from sowing.

Growing info

When transplanting, plant it deeper in the ground to ensure a sturdy stem. Plant at a distance of 60cm apart and cover with a protective netting or fleece to prevent attack from birds and insects. Water the plants thoroughly after
planting. Exceptionally hardy and requires little aftercare.
