This beautiful heirloom bean, originating in 19th century Netherlands has dramatic streaks of purple on the pale yellow pods. A delicious, productive, stringless dwarf variety that has remained popular over the centuries for a good reason.

Can be sown in position 5cm deep from May to June, if you have no problem with mice or pigeons. Alternatively, sow indoors in module trays from April to May. Beans are fast growing, so don’t be tempted to sow too early. Harden off and plant out after all risk of frost has passed. A great filler for mid summer gaps in your veg beds.
Grows to a height of 60cm and can be grown with or without support. Keep harvesting regularly to encourage the plant to continue producing over a long period.

If you would like to return your seeds, you can do so within 14 days of receiving them. All seed packs must be returned fully sealed and in their original packaging and state. When we receive your return, we will issue a refund within 7 working days if the packs are in good order.
Returns postage cost must be paid for yourself.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns due to germination issues because there are too many variables involved in growing. We carefully monitor our germination rates to offer the highest quality seeds possible to our customers.
