Show whitefly the door, the natural way. This organic whitefly treatment tackles those pesky little sap-suckers before they can do real damage to your crops. Made from oily organic soaps with a nourishing hit of seaweed extract, it works purely by physical contact, coating the insects on the spot rather than relying on harsh chemicals. Simple, effective, and kind to your garden.
Whitefly are a familiar foe, especially under glass and if you grow tomatoes or cucumbers, you’ll know the drill. These tiny white flies love to gather on the undersides of leaves, weakening plants and leaving behind sticky honeydew as they feed. Because this treatment works on contact, the trick is good coverage: a fine mist that reaches the insects where they cluster, particularly on those all-important leaf undersides where they like to hide.
How to use it: The 500ml concentrate makes a generous 5 litres of spray. To mix a litre at a time, add 100ml of concentrate to a spray bottle, top up with 900ml of water, and shake thoroughly. Apply as a fine mist directly onto the whitefly, taking care to treat the undersides of the leaves. If they’re being stubborn, repeat weekly until they’ve cleared off. A couple of golden rules: steer clear of very young plants, and don’t spray in hot or bright sunshine, as this can risk scorching the leaves, a cooler, overcast moment or the cool of the evening is ideal. No need to rinse afterwards when used as directed.
Good to know: If you’re using other garden sprays, leave a little time between applications so treatments don’t overlap on the same plants. And when you’re done, store the concentrate somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight, with the lid tightly closed. Prefer something even simpler?
A gentle, contact-action way to keep your greenhouse crops whitefly-free.
