Defend your tomatoes the natural way. Stop leaf miner damage in its tracks with our Tomato Leaf Miner Traps, the eco-friendly way to keep your tomato plants thriving. These weather-tough traps are built to stand up to sun, wind and rain, and they work hard all season long without harming a single pollinator. No chemicals. No compromise.
Here’s the clever bit: each trap is powered by a pheromone lure that mimics the scent of a female leaf miner, drawing in the male moths and trapping them fast on a sticky pad. With the males caught before they can mate, the breeding cycle is broken right at the source, meaning fewer eggs, fewer tunnelling larvae, and far less damage to your precious crop. It’s a smart, targeted approach that leaves your bees, butterflies and birds completely undisturbed.
Why You’ll Love Them:
Know your enemy: The tomato leaf miner is a small yellow-and-black fly, only around 7mm long, but a surprisingly destructive one, it’s been troubling growers worldwide since the 1960s. Its transparent larvae tunnel down inside the leaves, leaving tell-tale white or see-through squiggly tracks and little tunnels behind. Left unchecked, it weakens foliage, stunts growth and can even damage the roots of young plants and seedlings. Beyond tomatoes, it’ll happily target peppers, lettuce, melons and ornamentals like chrysanthemums too.
How to use them: Keep a close eye on your leaves in spring, that’s when any leaf miners that have overwintered in the soil tend to emerge. Remove any suspect leaves promptly and get your traps up early. Hang them as close to your plants as you can, using a cane or tucking them in amongst the vines; in a greenhouse, simply hook them onto the beams. Replace roughly every 45 days for continuous protection (refills available). Each trap comes complete with 2 lures and 2 sticky pads, and our refill packs contain 2 replacement lures and 2 sticky pads to keep the defence going.

What’s the Problem?
Tomato leaf miners are tiny pests that tunnel into leaves, causing translucent trails and weakening your plant’s growth. Left untreated, they can damage young plants, roots and leaves, reducing yield and health. You’ll spot the early signs in spring – get ahead by hanging these traps early in the season.
How to Use:
No sprays. No damage. Just smart, sustainable pest control. Your tomatoes will thank you.
