Growing Information

SOWING INFO

Surface sow seeds in small pots of moist, peat-free compost and just cover.  Tomatillos are fast growing, so best started in mid to late spring. They need heat to germinate, and benefit from lots of light, so supplement both if necessary.  Germination takes place within 1-2 weeks.

GROWING INFO

Plant out after all risk of frost has past. Once established tomatillos require little care though may require some staking if plants get very tall. Once fruit is ripe it will self harvest and fall to the ground.
