Growing Information

sowing info

Can be sown early in module trays or direct where they are to grow from May. Sow seed 1cm deep and keep moist at 15 – 22c. Sow at regular intervals for a continuous supply. Harden off seedlings and plant out after the last frost.

growing info

Choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot with well-drained, fertile soil. Water regularly, especially in dry weather, to prevent bolting. Blanching (withholding light) for 10 days before harvest will reduce bitter flavour. Growing undercover can extend the season.
