This incredible Japanese carrot can grow up to 1.5m in length under the right conditions. Developed 400 years ago in the Edo period in Japan, it nearly became extinct in recent times but was saved by heirloom seed enthusiasts. Remaining sweet and tender even at large sizes, we love this salt baked.
