Sowing info

Sow direct if you don’t have a problem with mice or pigeons around 5cm deep. Alternatively, sow seeds in lengths of drainpipe filled with peat free compost. Germination takes 7 – 14 days. Once plants are around 20 cm tall, they can be slid down the drainpipe into their final position.

Growing info

Plants will require support and pinching out the growing tips can result in bushier more productive plants. May require netting if pigeons are a problem for you. Regular harvesting will encourage a continual supply. Harvest before peas swell in pods.
