Sowing Instructions

Sow early under cover in seed or module trays and cover the seed with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. For outdoor sowings, sow the seed thinly, 1.5cm deep in drills 5cm apart in soil which has been raked finely. Water ground regularly, especially during dry periods.

Growing Instructions

Plant out early sowings at 15-20cm apart in the row and 25cm between rows. For outdoor sowings, thin young plants to around 15cm spacing, using the thinnings like spring onions. Protect with fine insect netting if allium root minor is a problem in your area and keep well watered to avoid premature bolting.
