Growing Information

Sowing info

2 weeks in the fridge before sowing can result in better germination. Sow indoors in spring at 2mm deep. Prefers to germinate in the dark at 10–18°C. Germination can take 2–3 weeks so be patient. Can also be sown in Autumn to overwinter in an unheated greenhouse for earlier blooms next year.

Growing info

Pot on seedlings as necessary. Harden off gradually before planting out after last frost, spaced around 45cm apart. Harvest or deadhead regularly to prolong harvests. May require staking when mature. Note, the whole plant including seed is toxic. Final height 100cm.
