Breadseed Poppy Hen and Chicks

£3.50

An old and unusual variety grown for its striking seed heads, named for its distinctive shape – one large central head surrounded by clusters of smaller ones, like a mother hen with her chicks. It produces beautiful reddish-pink blooms that are just as eye-catching, followed by seed heads that are prized for dried flower arrangements. The edible seeds can be used in cakes and breads for a subtle nutty flavour.

Average 50 seeds.
