Growing Information

Sowing info

Best sown direct outdoors. Sow seeds thinly 1 cm deep in well-prepared soil, spacing drills 15 – 20 cm apart. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 10 cm apart. Later sowings are best made undercover for extra protection.

Growing info

Grow in fertile, moist soil in sun or semi-shade. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, as drought causes bolting. Keep beds weed-free and mulch well to retain moisture. Harvest leaves as needed.
