Sow indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost date on the surface of moist compost. Do not cover — light aids germination. Ideal temperature: 18–21°C. Germination takes 7-14 days. Pot on seedlings as necessary. Harden off gradually before planting out after last frost.
Space 20–30cm apart (space closer for taller stems). Water regularly until established. Harvest regularly or deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering. Final height 75cm.
