Grow the longest green beans around! Also known as asparagus or snake beans, these vigorous climbing beans produce impressively long, tender pods reaching up to 90cm long! Originating from Southern Asia and actually more closely related to a pea, they are stringless and full of flavour. A striking and productive heirloom variety for warm, sunny spots.
Average 50 seeds.

Can be sown in position if you have no problem with mice or pigeons. Sow close together as little as 7cm apart at a depth of 5cm. Alternatively, sow Indoors in module trays. Beans are fast growing, so don’t be tempted to sow too early. Harden off and plant out after all risk of frost has passed.
Plants are efficient climbers, so will require support and need little training. Hailing from warmer climates, these will perform best in a greenhouse or polytunnel, or a sheltered spot if grown outdoors. Harvest when at least 30cm long.
Sowing Months: April – June
Harvest Months: July – September     Â
