Growing Information

Sowing info

Can be sown in position from May to early June, if you have no problem with mice or pigeons. Sow at a depth of 5cm. Alternatively, sow indoors in module trays from April to May. Beans are fast growing, so don’t be tempted to sow too early. Harden off and plant out after all risk of frost has passed.

Growing info

Plants will require support but are efficient climbers, so will require little training. Pods can be harvested fresh as a green bean, alternatively leave pods on the plant to semi dry then harvest for storage. Air dry for at least a month before storing. Keep harvesting regularly to encourage the plant to continue producing over a long period.
