Included in this bundle:

  • Cactus Prickly Pear

Try growing a truly unique edible that also doubles as a striking and low maintenance house plant. Sweet fruits taste similar to melon and can be eaten raw or cooked as jam. The leaf pads can also be eaten, just be careful to remove all those tiny spines.

  • Edible Houseplant Passionfruit

Featuring arguably the most delicately beautiful flowers in the plant world, this is the delicious passion fruit that you are used to finding in the shops. Yes it can be grown in the UK!

  • Beef and Onion Tree

A beautiful tree with really tasty leaves! Otherwise known as the Chinese Mahogany tree, this deciduous, often multi-stemmed variety has pretty, salmon red leaves turning green in summer and white flowers. What is little known is that you can eat the leaves and they taste exactly like beef and onion crisps! Their young tender leaves can be eaten raw in salads or cooked in stir frys and can also be dried and used as a seasoning.

  • Gourd Snake Bean

Native to China and a staple vegetable in India, this unusual heirloom is extremely rare in the UK.  It really does look like a snake, though as the name suggests it carries a flavour more like a green bean. Grow it vertically for long, straighter harvests. Fabulous in curries, the sweet sticky seed coating that can be used like tomato paste. A show stopping addition to your garden.
