Surface sow onto moist compost and cover lightly with a fine layer of soil or vermiculite. Ideal temperature: 15–18°C. Germination takes 10–20 days. Pot on seedlings as necessary. Harden off gradually before planting out after last frost, spaced 25cm apart.
Water regularly and deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming. For cut flowers, harvest when a third of the blooms open on each stem. Final height 60cm.
