Probably the oldest parsnip still in cultivation dating back to the 1820’s. Known for its distinctive deeply indented crown. This variety is considered superior for both flavour and texture. A wonderful addition to your plate roasted in olive oil and sea salt.

A later start, when the weather has warmed up can really improve germination rates and speed. Sow thinly direct into the growing site 2cm deep in rows approx. 30cm apart. Try to choose a stone free growing site.
Don’t be tempted to move your seedlings. As soon as seedlings appear, they should be gradually thinned until plants are 10cm apart. Weed the area, taking care not to damage the crown of the root. Frosts sweeten the roots so harvest as needed throughout winter.

If your order contains peas and beans in larger packets, your postage will automatically be adjusted at checkout.
If you would like to return your seeds, you can do so within 14 days of receiving them. All seed packs must be returned fully sealed and in their original packaging and state. When we receive your return, we will issue a refund within 7 working days if the packs are in good order.
Returns postage cost must be paid for yourself.
Unfortunately we cannot accept returns due to germination issues because there are too many variables involved in growing. We carefully monitor our germination rates to offer the highest quality seeds possible to our customers.
