Red Shiso is a striking and flavourful addition to your home-grown greens. With vibrant red leaves and a lively, anise-like kick, these tiny seedlings bring a bold, peppery twist to salads, sushi and all kinds of gourmet dishes. They’re an easy, quick-growing crop that adds colour, taste, and a touch of Japanese flair to your kitchen all year round.

Scatter seeds evenly over a shallow tray filled with moist, well-draining growing medium or microgreen mat and press them lightly into the surface.
Place the tray in bright, indirect light and keep the medium damp. Ready to harvest in just 10–14 days, harvest before they grow their second set of true leaves. Snip just above the soil line for fresh, crunchy greens. Can also be grown on to full size and eaten as a herb.
