Growing Information

Sowing info

Sow seeds in pots of acidic peat free compost. Lightly cover the seeds with compost of  vermiculite, can keep at around 18c for 2 weeks, then cover and place in the fridge for 3-6 weeks. After refrigeration, return to germination temperature, if germination does not occur in 6-10 weeks, repeat refrigeration.

Growing info

Plant cranberries in acidic, moist soil with good sunlight. Space plants 30-40 cm apart and mulch to retain moisture. Water regularly, ideally with rain water especially in dry spells, and prune lightly to encourage bushy growth. Berries will appear in autumn; pick when fully red. Ideal for conatiners. Final height 15cm.
