Sowing info

Sow indoors from February. Surface sow onto moist compost and just cover. Keep at 18–30°C, heat tends to help — germination takes 14–28 days and can be erratic. Pot on seedlings when large enough to handle and acclimatise before planting out after last frost.

Growing info

Space plants 20–25cm apart in full sun and well-drained soil. Water until established, then only through dry spells. Cut regularly for use in fresh or dried displays. Cut back to 15cm after flowering, may regrow and flower again in the same year. Tender perennial. Final height 70cm.
