A really unusual type of parsley that produces both edible roots and leaves that can be used in cooking. The leaves are aromatic and flat green, and can be used like ordinary parsley and the roots can be used in soups and stews like a turnip or parsnip with a similar flavour. The ultimate 2 for 1!

Direct sow into the final growing site in shallow drills. Germination can be slow so do not panic, 6 – 7 weeks is not unexpected. Thin the seedlings to 20cm apart. Keep them well watered through summer.Â
Harvest leaves as required making sure to leave some on the plant to feed the roots. Roots develop slowly and may be lifted from October onwards. Roots can be left to overwinter in the ground an lifted as required.
