Included in this bundle:

  • Tomato Indigo Rose

This gorgeous, high yielding, XL sized cherry tomato has stunning black skin blushed with pink.  It was originally bred from wild tomatoes in Peru and was crossed with fruits from the Galapagos.  Flavour wise it really delivers with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity.

  • Carrot Black Nebula

The darkest heirloom carrot around, this enigmatic beauty’s colour is caused by the antioxidant anthocyanin making it extra good for you. Producing tapering roots up to 25cm long; the purple colour penetrates all the way through the flesh, even after cooking. Its flavour is earthy and it’s wonderful cooked or raw in salads.

  • Amaranth Molten Fire

Amaranth is a versatile annual ‘edimental’ and this heirloom variety has real impact, growing to a height of up to 1m. Incredibly dramatic in its colouring, with dark red nearly black foliage topped by the almost glowing, bright red leaves that resemble molten lava. Its nutritious leaves can be eaten just like spinach and the drought tolerant nature of the plant means it does well throughout summer without bolting. Will also give a grain harvest in Autumn.

  • Sweet Pepper Ingrid

This sweet pepper is full of surprises. Its fruits turn from green in immaturity to dark brown, nearly black in maturity. A compact plant, this heirloom beauty won’t take up too much space in your greenhouse or polytunnel. Fruits are wonderfully fleshy and tender and live up to their ‘sweet’ name. Tastes delicious roasted as part of any dish.

  • Aubergine Black Beauty

This ultra dark coloured heirloom aubergine is super reliable and produces loads of fruits throughout the summer season. One of our favourites, due to its good texture and excellent flavour. Great on the barbeque or in well loved Mediterranean dishes. Aubergines prefer to be grown indoors in a greenhouse or polytunnel to get the best cropping.

  • Chilli Pepper Machu Pichu

Chilli Pepper Machu Picchu is a modern heirloom that originates from Peru and has distinctive elongated pods which mature from dark green to a rich chestnut brown colour. Pods can grow up to 10cm long and have a medium hot, smokey and fruity flavour that’s wonderful in Mexican or Indian cooking.
