This super-sweet Chinese heirloom radish is fully red from the skin to the heart, making for beautiful red pickles. Its sweet flavour and juicy texture make it great for eating fresh or adding to stirfrys. This variety is super high in antioxidants, making it a nutrient-dense veggie perfect for the Autumn and into winter. Expect a small proportion of roots with white interior.

Best sown direct from mid summer onwards in a sunny position. Germination will usually take 5 to 7 days. Sow at a depth of 1 cm in shallow drills and keep moist. Protect young seedlings from birds.
As roots swell, harvest the largest roots to allow more room for others to grow larger. Succession sowing every 2-4 weeks will ensure a continual supply. Will not perform well in Spring/Summer as prone to bolting.
