An amazing nonspreading mint alternative! This herb has a lovely peppermint flavour and scent, despite not actually being a true mint. A perennial with pretty pink to white flowers, it makes a great edimental addition to your garden border.

Growing Information

Sowing info

Sow seeds indoors 0.5cm deep, in pots or trays of peat free compost and lightly cover the seeds with a sprinkling of compost, and place at a temperature of 20°C. Germination can be erratic taking from 2 weeks to 3 months. Can be sown in Autumn to overwinter in the greenhouse or coldframe.

Growing info

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 9cm pots to grow on. Harden off the plants before planting out where they are to grow after all risk of frost has passed. Cut leaves as required for eating. Final height 1.5m.
