Growing Information

Sowing info

Sow the seeds on the surface of moist, well-drained peat-free compost – do not cover, light aids germination. Keep at 15–20°C and make sure the compost stays evenly moist but never soggy. Germination usually takes 2–4 weeks.

Growing info

Pot on seedlings as necessary. Harden off gradually before planting out after last frost, spaced 15-20cm apart. They thrive in light, rich, free-draining soil. A tender perennial but treat as an annual – harvest regularly to prolong flowering. Final height 45cm.
