Growing Information

Sowing info

Will perform best after a month in the fridge. Soak seed for 24h in warm water, then surface sow onto moist peat free compost, sand mix and lightly cover with sand. Keep moist in a warm place out of direct light and be patient, germination can take anywhere from 5 to 6 months!

Growing info

As seeds germinate, transplant seedlings into individual pots of sandy compost and move into a light position to grow on. Once established water sparingly. Spines can be removed by rubbing pads and fruit with a sturdy cloth which should then be shaken off outdoors and washed.
