Sowing info

Sow indoors from February, or sow direct after last frost. Surface sow on moist peat-free compost, cover lightly, and keep at 18–21°C. Germination usually takes 2–3 weeks, so be patient – they are worth the wait!

Prick out and grow on until strong enough to harden off. Plant out after the last frost. Space 25–30cm apart. Protect this tender perennial over winter and they might just go again. Final height 45-60cm.
