Sowing info

Start your seeds indoors in early spring on the surface of moist, peat-free compost, do not cover as light aids germination. Keep at 15–25°C and water from the base. Can be sown direct after last frost. Germination usually takes 5–10 days. Can also be sown in late summer/autumn and overwintered in an unheated greenhouse for earlier blooms the following year.

Growing info

Grow them on, potting on as necessary, then harden off before planting out once all risk of frost has passed. Space 30cm apart. Cut plants back in late autumn. Divide every 2-4 years to maintain vigour. Final height 60cm.
